About Me

I have been involved in video editing for more than a decade. After completing my Postgraduate Diploma in Film Editing from the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, India, I returned home in 2015. Since then, side by side with editing various types of motion works, my journey has gradually expanded into independent film direction and scriptwriting as driven by a deep desire to tell stories that truly matter to me. I also enjoy sharing my filmmaking experience and vision with the new generation, which has led me to consistently work as a mentor with multiple film institutes. Welcome to my website. The Bangladesh Government-granted short film ‘Mariyam’—directed, edited and produced by me—won “The Best Short Film” title at the Government’s National Film Awards for 2023, the “Community and Culture Award” at the Fest5 International Festival in Kolkata, and the “Best International Film” award at the Mumba International Film Festival of Pune.
Short film ‘A Lazy Noon’ edited by me got FIPRESCI Award in Dhaka International Film Festival 2025.
Short film ‘Mukti’ directed and edited by me got special mention in Dhaka International Film Festival 2024.
Short film ‘Laila’ produced and edited by me got FIPRESCI Award in Dhaka International Film Festival 2024.
My edited short film titled ‘Part of An Epic’ also got National Award in 2018. And a number of other films edited by me also got selected in various international film festivals.
